Dholera is located in the Gulf of Khambhat within the Ahmedabad district. It is in propinquity to the coastal line and enclosed by three water faces namely, Bavaliari creek on the north, Sonaria creek on the south, and Gulf of Khambhat on the east. Proximity to the district of Ahmedabad, Dholera enjoys the top position in having a strong manufacturing base and capital investment.
Aarogyam Real Mart Private Limited, located in Ahmedabad, Gujarat (India), is engaged in the development of the Dholera project at the location Dholera Special Investment Region. The industrial region of Dholera is in 100 km proximity to the Dedicated Freight Corrido (DFC) in the central region of Gujarat. The Dholera project is extended across 35,000 hectares area, out of which 14,000 hectares area is proposed for processing, leaving the rest non-processed.
ConnectivityMumbai, Bhavnagar, and Ahmedabad are connected to the Dholera Special Investment Region by the National Highway 8 & 8A (Bagodra), which is itself in propinquity to the project. Besides this, the golden quadrilateral (Mumbai-Ahmedabad-Vadodara Express 500 km) is connected to Dholera. For the convenience of the residents, proposal for an airport and port has been put forward for this region. Also, there is a proposal for connecting the site of the port with the Ahmedabad-Bhavnagar highway by road at 11 km distance. Moreover, 2057 hectares of govt. land has been allocated for the growth of the port site. Apart from this, govt. is planning a railway connection for the region with Bhavnagar (34 km) as the nearest meter gauge and Tarapur (103 km) as the broad gauge station.
